Your photos are yours.

ByeHEIC was designed so your photos do not need to visit our servers. This policy covers byeheic.com and the ByeHEIC iPhone app.

Photo processing

Photo conversion happens locally on your device. ByeHEIC does not upload, transmit, or store the photos you select. Temporary working files are created only on your device and are removed by the operating system or when the app's temporary export is finished.

Photo library access

The iPhone app uses Apple's system photo picker, which gives ByeHEIC access only to the photos you choose. If you save a converted image, iOS may ask for permission to add it to your photo library.

Accounts and analytics

ByeHEIC does not require an account. The current website and app do not use advertising trackers or analytics SDKs and do not build profiles about you.

Purchases

If you buy ByeHEIC Pro, Apple processes the payment. ByeHEIC receives confirmation that the purchase is valid but does not receive or store your complete payment-card details. Apple's privacy policy governs App Store transactions.

Website basics

Our hosting provider may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver the website safely, such as an IP address, request time, and browser information. We do not use that information to identify you or sell it.

Children and sensitive content

ByeHEIC is a general-purpose utility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because photos stay on the device, we do not inspect or classify their contents.

Changes

If the product's data practices change, this page will be updated before the new practice is introduced. The effective date of this policy is August 10, 2026.
