Which format should I choose?
Choose JPG for the widest compatibility, PNG for lossless output, WebP for smaller website images, or PDF to combine photos into a shareable document.
What does 100% JPG quality mean?
ByeHEIC defaults to the highest JPG quality setting. JPG still uses compression, so “100%” means maximum encoder quality, not a mathematically lossless copy.
Can I save converted images to iPhone Photos?
Yes. Tap “Save or share” after converting, then choose “Save Image” in the iPhone share sheet. PDFs save to Files instead. Apple requires that final tap.
Why did a photo fail?
Some HEIC variants contain unsupported codecs. Exporting the photo again from Apple Photos usually resolves it.
